Biography
A fixture pile up at the end of the 1963/64 season stretched Rovers’ resources to the limit. Reserve team hooker John Hamer was called up for a Wednesday night rearranged fixture at home to Bramley which ended in ignominious defeat for Rovers, and Hamer never got another first team chance.
