At 6ft 6in tall, second row forward Jon Grayshon was an unmissable figure on the field for Featherstone Rovers over three very successful seasons, an integral part of a formidable pack that was unquestionably the best in the league. Bradford born, Grayshon started at Huddersfield as a teenager and after five top flight years with the Giants, he switched to London with similar success.  After a loan spell at Widnes, it was quite a coup for Rovers to land a player who had played almost 100 Super League matches. Awkward to tackle because of his height and leg strength, Grayshon’s wide running was a feature of Rovers’ attack, and his tally of 27 tries was testimony to this. He finished his playing days at Whitehaven.
