Joseph “Jos” McGlone was a native of the east side of Hull who signed for Hull KR in 1920 from the Brown's Shipyards team. He played four seasons at Hull KR mainly in the reserve team but with a number of first team appearances. In 1924, Joe joined Featherstone as part of an exchange deal which saw Joe Kirkham moving to Hull KR. He later recalled his abiding memory of his short spell at Post Office Road was being part of the side which beat Hull for the first ever time in February 1924.
