Ken Noble was a player who slipped through the net, his potential never really being recognised or developed at Featherstone. He played his junior rugby with Siddal before signing for Rovers in 1956 primarily as a loose forward.  Ken was never able to claim a regular first team place and was released in 1958. Huddersfield signed him soon after, and after moving into the front row over the next couple of seasons, he was soon gaining county and international honours. He played at Wembley with Huddersfield in the 1962 Challenge Cup Final and went on the 1962 Great Britain tour to Australia alongside Rovers players Don Fox and Gary Cooper. In 1963, he emigrated to Australia and played for Balmain.
