Another member of the large Lingard clan at Sharlston, wingman Lee Lingard had done enough in three years at York for Rovers to take a look at him for the 2008 season. After a run of games at the start of the year he lost his place in a free scoring three-quarter line that included Waine Price, Wayne McHugh and Tommy Saxton. Lingard moved to Dewsbury before the end of that season where he stayed a number of years.
