Having played for Rovers Academy and reserves, back-row forward Liam Mackay received two brief opportunities to show his worth at first team level during the 2012 season. At the end of 2013 with no further chances having come his way, Mackay moved to Hunslet where he quickly became a mainstay of their pack, rising to become club captain.
