Lionel Anderson was one of a number of players who had previously played for Featherstone Rovers in their junior days, and made the transition to senior rugby. A full-back, he managed just one appearance in our first season. Two of his sons, Colin and Jack both played for Featherstone Rovers in the 1950s, as well as his grandson Kevin in the 1980s.
