Loz Wildbore was a solidly built full-back, safe under the high ball with surprising pace off the mark. Born on Humberside, his career started at Hull KR, but stalled and he moved to Doncaster. With Featherstone Rovers pushing for promotion in 2007, coach David Hobbs saw Wildbore as a good option at the back and signed him up mid-season. He played every game from then to the end of the year, helping Rovers to victory in the playoff final. The following year Rovers signed Tommy Saxton, ostensibly as a full-back, but Wildbore’s form in 2008 meant Saxton found a new home at centre. At the end of that year Wildbore moved on to Widnes, then other clubs before finishing with South Wales.
