Originally from Canterbury, New Zealand, prop forward Maea David came over to England in 1994 to play for Hull FC. Not the biggest player, he had a good engine, running and tackling all game. He had a couple of seasons at Illawarra in the ARL and came back to England in 1998. It was towards the end of his career that he had a full season at Featherstone, before joining Doncaster.
