Signing Toulouse Olympique's star full-back Mark Kheirallah was a coup and a statement of intent by Featherstone Rovers with the 2022 season underway. In France, he had been one of the star performers in the Championship for a number of seasons. Assured on defence and dangerous on attack, Kheirallah was always well positioned, he had the pace to finish off many moves, and was an accurate goal kicker. His Rovers career started well and he made classy contributions, and appeared in the 1895 Cup final against Leigh.  Then, in July, a horrific knee injury against Newcastle finished his season, a blow which proved costly to Rovers' promotion hopes. It wasn't until halfway through the 2023 season that he finally made his comeback. His assured presence at the back remained the same, his goal kicking excellent, although perhaps his pace suffered. After the disappointment of defeat in the playoff semi-finals he decided to retire.
