French prop Mathieu Cozza’s professional career started at the Catalan Dragons where he made his official debut in 2021. He spent much of his time there playing for feeder club St. Esteve in Elite One. He then had a short loan spell at Barrow in 2022 before signing for Featherstone in 2023. Although largely unheralded as a signing, Cozza quickly established himself as a first team regular with his committed tackling and hard work. He was selected for France and made his international debut v England, unfortunately suffering a concussion in that match which kept him out for weeks. He regained his place in the side, helping the club to the League Leaders Shield as a starting front-rower.

As part of a large clearout of the playing squad at the end of 2023, Cozza left to join Wakefield Trinity.
