Michael Haley came through the Leeds Rhinos junior system before signing for Doncaster RLFC. From there he spent a season at Sheffield before he signed for Featherstone for the 2011 season. Joining a formidable front row that already included Stuart Dickens and Tony Tonks, Haley looked promising, but was hampered throughout the year by a knee injury. In his second season, he managed more games, mostly off the bench, but again his season was cut short by a recurrence of his knee problem. He moved to Hunslet for 2013 and played there for several seasons. Qualifying for Ireland by heritage, he won four international caps for his adopted country.
