Championship veteran Michael Knowles had had a journey through a number of clubs before arriving at Featherstone in 2017 to offer a season of graft and intelligence in the second-row. His career had begun at Castleford, before his breakthrough spell at Gateshead, kicking more than 100 goals in a year. He was a thorn in Rovers’ side at the 2012 Grand final when Sheffield upset Featherstone. His year with us was cut prematurely short by injury and he then moved to Dewsbury.
