Perhaps uniquely, Mick Reynolds, when called upon for the first team, found himself switching between scrum-half and the wing.  Signed in 1955 he was an enthuisiastic and talented player who could never quite nail down a first team place.  An 'A' team stalwart from the mid 50s to the early 60s, he spent 8 seasons at Rovers before moving to Bradford Northern in 1963.  His proudest moment came on 11 November 1959 when he was part of the team that defeated the touring Australia team 23 - 15 at Post office Road.
