From the Stanley Rangers junior club, prop Micky Clarkson signed for Wakefield. After three years there, he came to Featherstone and offered four seasons of reliable front-row work under a variety of coaches. Compact and mobile, he offered no-nonsense graft, often off the bench. A substitute appearance in the 1998 Grand final against his former club was a career highlight for him. His son Chris also played professionally.
