A product of Oulton ARLFC, Nathan Batty started at Wakefield, then Dewsbury, from where he signed for Featherstone in 2004. Primarily a full-back, he could also slot in at centre and with his good positional play and elusive running, was an important squad member for three seasons. He then suffered a serious knee injury which kept him out of the game for over a year. To his credit he battled back to regain a first team place, but soon was forced to retire.
