After signing for Huddersfield Giants as a teenager from Newsome Panthers, Nathan Chappell, a tall elusive running centre, saw his fledgling career stall. His move to Featherstone via Castleford saw him take his first real opportunity. He bagged 13 tries in 13 games, including one of the fastest hatricks ever scored, in just five minutes v York in May 2012. He then went to Australia to try his luck with Goulburn Bulldogs in the Canberra Cup competition. On his return he resigned with Rovers but his progress was halted by a serious knee injury. After a long rehabilitation he played for Sheffield, Oldham and Hunslet, maintaining his impressive try scoring rate.
