Richard Davies was recruited for the Bradford Northern colts side from Castleford RU. A centre, he made his debut for Bradford in 1982, and played against Rovers in the 1983 Challenge Cup semi-final.  Unfortunately, his career was hampered by injuries and this continued when he came to Featherstone in the autumn of 1989, where he managed just 4 appearances before quitting.
