Ron Bradley was signed from Featherstone juniors and made his debut against Hull in September 1954.  In his first season he was a prominent member of the Rovers pack that went on a cup run that ended with a semi-final defeat by Workington. After a bright start to his Rovers career he failed to show the same form in following seasons and was only sporadically seen at first team level.
