The Cardiff-born son of Hull player Gary, Ross Divorty started his professional career at Doncaster where Daryl Powell spotted his potential and moved him to Featherstone. Over three seasons he matured from a rangy ball-handling back-rower, to a solid prop with the same  handling skills, and was part of the Rovers team that won successive League Leaders Shields. In 2012 he moved to Halifax where he spent five seasons, and later played for York. He won international caps for Wales whilst with Rovers and represented his country at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.
