One of Featherstone Rovers' big signings for the 2022 season was Australian half-back Ryley Jacks, who had an impressive NRL pedigree with almost 50 first team games for Melbourne Storm and Gold Coast Titans. At Post Office Road, he slotted into a half-back partnership with Morgan Smith, offering a running threat to the defensive line, a capable kicking game and solid defence. He was troubled later in the season by a recurring ankle injury, but ended with a creditable 19 tries in 24 games. At the end of the season he headed back to Australia, and signed for Eastern Suburbs Tigers in Brisbane.
