Local product Scott Glassell was thrown in at the deep-end by making his first team debut for Featherstone Rovers in Perpignan against Super League’s Catalan Dragons.  He grabbed a try, and did his club proud, keeping his place in the side for the next few matches. He then went back to the amateur game and was a loyal servant to Featherstone Lions. He also played a handful of games at Dewsbury and at York.
