Scott Turner’s career started at Dewsbury, but it was his prolific scoring at Sheffield (70 tries in 109 games) which brought him to the attention of Featherstone Rovers. Ideally built for the modern game, tall enough to deal with crossfield kicks and with pace, Turner played the opening 11 games of the 2016 season before a shoulder injury put him out for the rest of the year. Although he made a comeback in 2017 and managed a useful 14 tries in 17 games, he retired at the end of that season.
