Biography
Castleford based full-back Silas Poole made his first-team debut at full-back at Hull KR in March 1940. His promising debut was duly noted, but his nascent career was nipped in the bud by World War Two as he was called up for active service very shortly after his debut. He never played for Featherstone again, even after the war was over.
