Simon Wragg was a speedy but diminutive winger whose form with the A team warranted a few substitute appearances for the first team in the 1985/6 season.  He was then selected for his first start for a Challenge Cup tie against a bruising Widnes team in front of a big crowd. Physically outmuscled, Wragg stood up well to the test in a stirring game, before returning to the reserves.
