Stephen Banks was an 18 year old when he made a solitary appearance for Rovers in December 1966.  As an ideally built youngster he had signed from the juniors at the end of the 1964/65 season, having been brought down to the juniors by his uncle - Ken Greatorex.  Unfortunately, despite his early promise, his career at Rovers did not progress.
