Hull born Steve Snitch had a long Super League career at Wakefield, Huddersfield and Castleford before dropping down two divisions to play for Doncaster. Featherstone Rovers took the unusual step of bringing Snitch in on loan for the end of season Championship Shield in 2015 having traded Reni Maitua to Salford. During that period Snitch played and scored against his parent club Doncaster, and picked up a Championship Shield winner’s medal in September. He then signed for the 2016 season but spent most of it out injured, making a comeback for the Middle Eights playoffs. He finished his career at Newcastle in 2017.
