Thomas Minns was a promising Leeds junior who, after his Super league debut and an England Academy call up, was loaned to London Broncos for the 2014 season. The following year he was loaned in a similar season-long arrangement to Featherstone, along with his team-mates Alex Foster, Mason Tonks and Jordan Baldwinson. He caught the eye with his aggression and strong running which brought him nine tries in 18 games. This led him to a three year deal at Hull KR which was cut short by a two year ban for recreational drug use.

He re-signed for Featherstone for the 2020 season, but a foot injury prevented him from making his second debut before March 2021. A promising start saw Minns start to shine as he worked his way back to full fitness after nearly four years of no rugby. Then disaster struck as he broke his leg in a match against his former club London. He moved to Newcastle for 2022 in another attempt to rebuild his career.
