Papuan international center Thompson Teteh was one of a trio of international signings that Rovers made for the 2019 season alongside Watson and Ase Boas. All three had played for Papua New Guinea at the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. Once in England, a troublesome shoulder injury restricted Teteh to just six matches, although he showed a glimpse of his potential with a powerful hatrick against Swinton.
