Reserve team winger Tom Ward signed for Rovers from Featherstone Juniors. The son of bag-man and coach Tom Ward Sr., Tom Jr. was on Rovers books for nine years but never played more than a handful of matches each season, always deputising for injured first teamers. In fact, he was just the type of solid clubman that the club has always relied on. His most extended run in the first team came in the 1932/3 season when he was called on 16 times, scoring two tries.
