Biography
Tony Atkins signed for Featherstone Rovers from the same Glasshoughton team that produced Norman Mitchell and Tommy Smales. As a stand-off he faced tremendous competition for his place. Ray Cording was moved to wing to accomodate him, but within a couple of months Atkins himself lost his place to Johnny Heritage.
