Local hooker Tony O’Toole was a good club man for Featherstone Rovers over six seasons. Without ever establishing himself as a first team regular, he was a mainstay of the A team throughout his career. He won GB Colts representative honours as a teenager and made his first team debut the following season. He later made a comeback during the 1986/7 season, one of six different hookers used as Rovers attempted to find a replacement for the ageing Bob Spurr.
