New Zealand born Tyla Hepi, son of former Rovers player Brad Hepi, moved to Featherstone in the middle of the 2022 after being released by Castleford. Although not the biggest forward, he was committed and aggressive on attack and defence. His progress At Featherstone was interrupted by a red card and suspension against Leigh just as he was establishing himself as a first team regular. He suffered a serious injury in pre-season training, and spent almost the entire 2023 season in rehabilitation following knee surgery. At the end of the year Hepi was one of three players to join Doncaster in a large clear out of players.
