Biography
Normanton based colliery worker Walter Dyson was given two trial games in the centre position in 1934 at the age of 32. Despite being picked out in one press report for commendable straight running he was not signed on.
He was the uncle of Jack Dyson who was signed on by the club in 1934 and went on to make over 200 appearances for Rovers.
