After eight seasons at Hunslet and Halifax, Warren Wilson came to Featherstone Rovers in 1994/5 as a utility back, able to cover positions across the backline. As such he played five games in his debut year. After the launch of Super League and the switch to summer rugby, numerous departures left Wilson as a first team regular and he held his place in the Centenary Season and the first summer year of 1996. Not included in new coach Steve Simms’ plans, he left for Doncaster.
