Hooker William Harrison was part of a very good Sharlston outfit in the early 1930’s and it was a side that Featherstone Rovers raided on a number of occasions for new recruits. With Featherstone having lost Percy Morris, and utility forward Luke Morgan best used elsewhere, Harrison stepped into the Featherstone front-row. He lost his place to Harry Lomas, but was kept as understudy for the rest of that season.
