After being on the books of Hull FC as a youngster, forward Zeus Silk was playing for West Hull in the National Conference League when Featherstone Rovers signed him amid an injury crisis among the forwards. He made a promising and hard-working debut versus Halifax, retained his place for the following fixture against Doncaster and after a third successive appearance at Wakefield, he was promptly traded to Dewsbury in exchange for Jimmy Beckett.
