Explore the History and Heritage of Featherstone Rovers
Ron Bailey was the Secretary of Featherstone Rovers from 1955 to 1967 and has written extensively on the club history. In 2005, Ron started writing for the Rugby League Journal which is a quarterly magazine that focuses on the heritage of the game with a mantra of being "for fans who don't want to forget". Over the course of the next 17 years Ron wrote 55 articles for the journal on the topic of Featherstone Rovers until finally retiring his pen in December 2022 at the age of 90. It is with the kind permission of Ron himself, and Harry Edgar the publisher of the Rugby League Journal, that we can publish online all the articles Ron has written.
