Help Needed with Missing Player Info

The Featherstone Rovers Archive is a project that began in early 2020, and we have worked continuously since then to build up the website. Numerous generous donations of photographs, most notably from former club secretary Ron Bailey have allowed us to extend the Gallery section.

The programme section has grown and extended to include virtually every single home match programme since World War Two. There are only 13 gaps now in an impressive collection of home programmes since 1945, and a further 28 of away programmes. A large number of publications from the 1930s have been added, some of these up to 90 years old, and which are obviously extremely scarce and make fascinating viewing.

We have added many new photographs of players, and are always keen to locate photographs of former players. There are now just eight players from the last 50 years who we do not yet have an image for. Here’s the full list if you can help:

We also need a hand with the momentous task of compiling match reports from the almost 3,800 matches that Featherstone Rovers have played. We have already put many reports on this site, but there are many more still to do. Before the internet, newspapers were the main source of match reports, and we have numerous scans and clippings of match reports from the period 1921 to 2003 which need to be transformed into Word documents.
