Featherstone put together a convincing performance to defeat Oldham away from home, maintaining their 100% record away from home this season. Rovers started strong with a score in the sixth minute from Dean Parata, a breakup of play close to the half way line saw Ben Blackmore put Alex Walker into space where he was able to put Parata through for a try close to the sticks.  Dane Chisholm who’d assumed the kicking duties in the absence of Craig Hall. Rovers added a second try on the stroke of 10 minutes with Brett Ferres barging over from short range. Chisholm was unable to add the conversion on this occasion. Welham scored a minute later, and it looked like a particularly long afternoon for the home side.  Kopczak made it a fourth try on the fifteen-minute mark. Oldham then seemed to pull themselves back into the game and scored their first try in the 24th minute, a kick-try through Joe Hartley.  Dane Chisholm was sin-binned for kicking out in the thirty-second minute leaving the side without an obvious goal kicker on the field. Kopczak looked to have wrapped up the scoring of the first half when he crossed for his second in the thirty-eighth minute and with a try to convert, up stepped Brett Ferres who rattled the ball through the uprights. Oldham however bounced back with a second score on the stroke of half time through Danny Bridge.

The second half was one way traffic and a masterclass from Alex Walker, Walker crossing a minute into the half, after a huge break from Ferguson. Much like the first half, a barrage of tries followed with scores from Parata, Ferres and Walker again making the final score to 48-10 to the visitors. Oldham were much improved on their performance from earlier in the season, the influence of McDermott obvious.  Impressive too was Rovers loanee Harvey Spence who stood out in the side and created the first Oldham try.
