Featherstone Neglect Their Many Opportunities

Dewsbury gained an easy victory over the Rovers, though their first half display suggested a keen encounter. The end the season flavour was in evidence, and it was not until after the interval that the winners roused themselves.  Featherstone had their opportunities in the first half but neglected them badly, and their only points before the interval were by Jim Demon, who kicked a penalty goal. Stocks equalised with a penalty.  In the second half, Bales scored twice in quick succession and Stocks converted one. Craven added an unconverted try. The winners were best, represented by Bates and A. Brown.
