A - Z Player Collection
This collection features everyone who has played for Rovers since their entry to the senior ranks in 1921. We have produced a biography for every single player. Alongside the facts and figures we have tried to track down a photo of each player, ideally in Rovers colours, or where this isn’t possible at another club, or from the time they were a player. We are currently missing 170 player photographs out of a total of more than 1,180 players and some of the images that we do have aren’t great. We should thank a number of people who have helped with this project. Ron Bailey very generously allowed us to make use of the biographies he wrote for his excellent book, "100 Greats: Featherstone Rovers", as well as proof-reading the text, adding much information from his era. Fellow club statistician Chris Heinitz also proof-read the text, providing much valuable information. Mike Latham offered wise help and support. The Featherstone Rovers Heritage page on facebook was a mine of information, especially ex-players Keith Bridges, Keith Bell, Peter Smith, Dale Fennell, Alan Rhodes, Malcolm Dixon and Neil Tuffs among many others.
Inevitably there are some gaps, and details of those playing for Rovers in the old days can sometimes be very sketchy, but here you will find mention of everyone who has ever pulled on the famous blue (or chocolate) and white striped shirt.
